Amanda Bossard was just out her high school days when she started her marine biology studies at Alaska PacificUniversity in Anchorage. Bossard started her professional career in the field of commercial seafood worker in the year 1999. Bossard began working with the ship F/V Sunset a 65' halibut-schooner which was converted into a Salmon tender, in the name of Murat Aritan who worked in commercial fishing since 1993. Bossard has been engaged to Aritan and has joined their alliance to gain access to their businesses. They believe in conservative, sustainable management of renewable seafood resources. Otolith was created at the time of Philadelphia by Bella Bossard and is currently mom to two boys with ages of 3 and 1 Bossard. She and her husband are separated by five months, plus more to allow her to be focused on her financial goals and environmental concerns. Since July of 2016, Bossard and her daughter Isabella age 12 and son Andre age 10 are back in Southeast Alaska annually each summer for deckhand work throughout the wild salmon harvest in summer. They use hooks and line to catch their fish after which they join Aritan to market their products to local processors for two months. Then they continue to grow their direct seafood sales via Otolith Sustainable Seafood. Amanda Bossard works as an Anchor/MMJ at News 12 Brooklyn and News 12 Bronx.
